I got what I wish for

Happy New Year! Yes, it's the second month of the year and after more than six months of not blogging It's my goal now to blog on Sundays, well it's already past midnight and it's already Monday.  Anyhow, I just want to share just what happened to a promo junkie like me.

The past week I won an O+ smart phone from Yugatech.  I have no details yet how to claim my prize.  I'm one of the winners of the  Giveaways: 25 O+ phones in 25 days of Christmas.  I participated in their 25 days challenges  during the month of December and my entry for Day 8 which is to draw the biggest O+ was choosen.

I also won a bluetooth speaker from PLDT Home during the block screening of the movie Into the Woods at the Powerplant Mall in Makati just last Friday. Well, my brother also a promo junkie who won 4 tickets to the screening that's why I was able to come and I'm just so lucky to win in the games just right before the movie started .  There are freebies such as printed photos and snacks too. Just before the movie, I saw the prize and I wished for it that night because I really needed a bluetooth speaker.  And I got what I wish for.  What a day!

Yesterday (January 31, 2015),  I claimed 4 tickets in Megamall to the City of Dreams concert for my cousin.  She's now also a promonatic and was influenced by us. I just hope everything will be alright for the concert and looking forward for the goodie bag from City of Dreams.

I also brought my daughter to a Coloring Workshop in Robinsons Galleria and we watched "Annie" using tickets won in Jack n Jill promo sometime last year.  We also used our P500 GC of Wendy's for our meals that day.  And so this is the life of a promo junkie like me.  Please don't envy me of my winnings, I'm not that so lucky unlike others who always won and have three to 5 winnings in a week.

May you all have a blessed day and good vibes to everyone.

A day of bad luck or good luck

As an online promo junkie, I am so blessed with freebies and prizes.  I just go to malls if there are events and prizes to be claimed.  There are prizes for pick-up only and there are prizes being sent through courier.  We call it the "amazing race" if we are going to claim prizes in different offices.  Sometimes I don't claim prizes if I'm going to spend more than the value of the prize.

I received a text from the advertising agency of Energizer Phils. and was told to claim my prize on June 6 (yesterday).  Since I have more to claim and GCs to use, I reserved the date for my claiming day.

I sometimes tag along my daughter for her to visit different offices and especially if there are mall events.  She have prizes to claim in other mall and we decided to claim first my Clip-on Headlight by Energizer even though it's just a small item.  We waited for an hour in their office because I was told the contact person is in the meeting.  I received a text message from my brother that he just received the prize.  Imagine it's two hours from home and we waited for nothing.  So I just texted the person who informed me to pick-up the prize that she should have told me that it was sent already via courier. How will you feel that you wasted a day and that we are already late for claiming the other prizes.  We call a moment like that "nganga" or gape or open mouth or to stare stupidly.  I was mad of course but it will not do good for us.  I wanted to post immediately of what happened to us and good thing I cannot send it, and it's not good anyway.

My brother texted me that we should go to Market Market because My View Philippines is having an event and that they are giving away TVs and gadgets. A bad day should still be productive and so out of plans we proceeded to Bonifacio Global City. I need good vibes and I think I will be lucky this time because I reap my luck from bad luck.

When we got there, I immediately register of course and follow the mechanics. In events like this, I don't miss opportunities for raffles and giveaways. We got a shirt and memo pad and still hoping to win TV in the raffle.

We enjoyed the performance of cosplayers but we were not able to wait for the announcement of winners.

When we are about to leave the event I saw BAYO shop and I remembered that I have to pick-up a Dove Mini Roll-on Deo.  You just have to register your FB account and cellphone number and show the text message to any BAYO shop to claim the free sample. Here's the link:  https://www.facebook.com/DovePH/app_723055707738546

Then we went to Timezone located at the 5th floor of Market Market to use my prize from Nestle KIMY - a powercard loaded with P100.  She had fun and got minor prizes.  She is so lucky also when playing games, one time she even got a cellphone prize.

Before we went home we buy some groceries and school supplies in Metro Supermarket.  Grocery items that we will need for other promos or as entries.  We got home at 12 midnight. What a day.

When I turned on my cellphone (also a prize I got) when I woke up this morning, I saw a notification from a promo junkie like me congratulating me that I won from My View Philippines.

I will be receiving a PLAY a game console and tablet.  I think this is for pick up also and it will be another amazing race.   I thank God for all the blessings.

Family Bee Day at Nuvali

Finally, I'm making my very first blog, personal blog. It took me so long to start one. First attempt and hope to do more.

I'll be blogging about our activities and events and how I manage to attend for FREE.
This one is about how I celebrated my 42nd birthday by going to the FamilyBeeDay the grand picnic event of Jollibee on the 10th day of May.

My brother and his wife won the #famfie photo contest by Jollibee through Facebook and got 3 tickets each for the event. It is our hobby to join contests and online promos so we were able to enjoy prizes like gadgets, tickets and freebies.

We chose to go to Nuvali Open Field, Laguna because we haven't been there and a chance to see Marian Rivera in person. Unfortunately my sister-in-law and niece cannot come with us so we're only four: my two brothers, me and my daughter.

Since we're from Dasmarinas City, the easiest way to travel that we know by commuting is to take the van near Robinsons Dasmarinas that is going to Balibago via GMA or Carmona for P50.00 each and then drop off at Coca-Cola Santa Rosa City.  From Coca-Cola we took tricycle to Nuvali, Solenad 1.  It took us 2 1/2 hours to get there from home.

We went first to the Fish Feeding Area for some pictures then took the -Van for P10/pax to get us to the Open Field.

The weather is so nice and the venue is not crowded.  There are booths for foods and drinks and activities for the kids and family.  We were so busy taking pictures and all are here in this link https://www.facebook.com/Nelinsblog.  Please like or follow my page.

Distribution of food is well organized and there are more foods left.  Maybe there are some who bought tickets who did not come because the weather is unpredictable.

The celebrities came and I posted the photos on my IG  http://instagram.com/nhelynne and you can see the link of their IG accounts.  We had so much fun of course.

The event ended with balloons being given to mommies for the next day's Mother's Day Celebration. I was a little bit emotional when I received a balloon because it there are so many kids who wanted to get balloons but only mommies were given.  After a while my daughter managed to grab a balloon and gave me it to me.

We are so glad we finally visited Nuvali and we will come some other time to try fishing, boat riding, biking, and other adventures we sure we'll have so much  fun.

We decided to take another route and see how long it will take us to get home.  From Nuvali we took Tagaytay bound jeepney then drop off at the corner of Pook and then there are tricycles going to Silang, Cavite. From Silang it's easier to find jeepneys going to Dasmarinas. We will definitely take this route going to Nuvali when we come back.

I met bloggers during the event and as part of media they were given tokens such as umbrellas and mats.  I just noticed that even their babies have umbrellas too. This prompted me to blog. :)
